The part time coordinator will be based out of the Charlotte office working primarily on The Light The Night Walk in Asheville, NC. Duties include:


-Assist in community outreach efforts to gain participation for the upcoming Walk


-Oversee all logistics for the AVL Walk


-Manage relationships with the AVL Walk participants


-Provide administrative support to special event staff


-Coordinate elements of promotional activities to ensure the success of events and enhance public awareness of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its mission


-Maintain a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission and programs





Qualifications:


-1-2 year of sales, marketing or not-for-profit experience preferred


-Excellent word processing and database management skills


-Good oral and written communication skills


-Strong organizational skills


-Professional demeanor to represent The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society


-Strong interpersonal skills


-Sound judgment
