Charlotte’s Very Special Photo Contest



WHAT: Charlotte area residents, 13-years-of-age and older are asked to submit one photo, taken this year, that showcases the characteristics that makes Charlotte special – a place, a person, a group of people…



WHEN: July 27 – September 7



WHERE: Entry forms can be found at your local CVS/pharmacy store, on www.thecharlotteweekly.com and at the Charlotte Weekly headquarters located at 1421-C Orchard Lake Drive. You can also contact contest@thecharlotteweekly.com for more information.



JUDGES: Charlotte Mayor, Pat McCrory, along with:

* Tim Newman, CEO of the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority

* Bobby Cochran, photographer of Charlotte Weekly

* Paul Cotter, photography teacher at Davidson Day School and contributor to Charlotte Viewpoint



PRIZES: Winners will be announced in the October 5 issue of Charlotte Weekly, where the grand prize winning photo and runner-up photo will be published. The grand prize winner will receive a digital video camera, $200 CVS gift card and an assortment of photo gifts. Additional prizes will be awarded to one runner up and three honorable mentions.
