Attention Charlotte film buffs!



Do you live in Charlotte or the surrounding area(s)and are you interested in film, animation, photography or any other type of artist, writer, actor, etc; or just interested in these sorts of things? So are we! We are looking for some creative people to join us in celebration independant film.



We started a grassroots film festival and have had outstanding response from the community. The Charlotte Film Festival is committed to bringing to our community the best of independent cinema. This year, we planned a festival that gets underway on Thursday, September 6 with an Opening Night Gala and Awards Ceremony, which it will host on the rooftop of the Mint Museum, in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. 47 Events are planned. Before the concluding film shoing on the evening of Sunday, September 9, the festival will screen more than thirty narrative, documentary and international features and short films from all around the globe; many of them world premieres. Attendees will also have access to film-related panel discussions as well as electrifying after parties. Most venues are within walking distance of one another, Uptown and at Queen's University so park your car early and plan on enjoying yourself the whole day.
