The role of the grants writer is to research and identify potential sources of grants (governmental, corporate, private foundations, associations) that support the mission and the strategic direction of United Way and the strategic goals of our community impact areas. REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate must have a broad knowledge of grant writing, funding sources, and demonstrated ability to work on an individual and group/team basis. Effective oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills. Must be detail oriented and be able to manage multiple priorities. Computer literate, having ability to utilize computers for word processing, communications, research, and database management. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Bachelorís degree or equivalent experience. Understanding and commitment to mission of United Way.
