sorry alacarte that you did not enjoy 131 main. In my opinion and probably most of Charlottes with their wait being a good hour +most nights 131 is the best restaurant in town. Go back and erase the memories you have and give it an open shot. Try the scallops, the house salad and the marinated ribeye( its a sweet hawaii type flavor) The baby back ribs are by far the best i have ever had.
This restaurant is my favorite place to eat! They have great entertainment on Monday nights from 6:30-9:30.. A terrific patio and the freshest food I've ever had.. The trout is awesome and the tuna burger is to die for. I could eat there several times a week and still LOVE it!
We were there last night - Fri 8-8-08. Actually, it's pretty ordinary. The artichoke they're so proud of was fairly dry. The iceberg wedge is about a 3 out of 10. Try Brio's iceberg. It's MUCH better. The corn & clam chowder was okay, nothing special. The banana, vanilla pudding dessert was a soupy mess. I've had better in a cafeteria. Would I go back? Maybe, only to see if it's improved.
