Since Wolf Camera went out of business Biggs is the only camera store in Charlotte. If you don't walk in waving money in their face then they don't care to help you. I have been here on numerous occasions looking at cameras, and I have spent well over a $1000 in this store and I WILL NOT give them my business anymore, and every time the customer service is the same. They won't acknowledge that you are in the store, when they do and you don't buy something because they do not have what you want they act like you are an inconvenience and a bother. I called recently asking about a particular camera and lens to see if they were in the store and a girl answered and from the start her attitude was terrible! She treated me like I was a problem and I said ok well thank you have a good day and she hung up on me. I am disgusted with this store! There is one guy there who has always been helpful, other than that everyone else is terrible!

Two bad experiences with this store- first was purchasing a very overpriced bag after getting some pretty rude customer service. Second was ordering a half dozen print enlargements, waiting two days to get them and then getting overcharged for extra copies I didn't ask them to print. The people who work in this store are jerks.

I'm a beginner in photography and the service and knowledge I get from the guys at Biggs is great. They never try and sell me an expensive item that I dont need. Thanks for all the help guys!

I have only been shopping at Biggs for a short time and have found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable. They have helped me purchase and learn how to use my first DSLR. I have never encountered anyone not willing to help me out. They are also very child friendly. I have three children and they are very tolerant and even have a play area set aside for them. I wish all retail stores were as good as Biggs Camera. THANK YOU !!!

We went there last week and purchased a used lens for over $400. We drove down the road to freedom park to try it out. When we got there we found out the lens was broken. We drove back only to have the cashier tell us how mad he was because it was going to cost the company because they had to get the lens fixed. What about the customer you just sold a broken lens to? Shouldn't that get you mad? He then asked us 3 times for the lens cap which didn't come with the lens. He didn't believe us that it didn't come with it ... Yeah Biggs ... we purposely bought a broken 400 dollar lens so we could steal a 4 dollar lens cap! Give me a break!! We then purchased a used sigma lens which he told us was f/2.8. After we purchased the lens 2 employees said really loud "LOCK THE DOORS" when we got in the car we found that the lens was 2.8-4. Not what we asked for. We went to return the lens today and they told us they didn't have the cash to give us back for the lens so they wrote us a check. A Check? How does a camera store that sells cameras that are over $8000 not have 250 bucks in cash?! They then tried to fix the problem by giving us a "deal" considering they were 60 bucks over EVERYBODY online it wasn't a deal so we walked. Stay away from these guys!!! Buy online! They know they are the only camera store in the area and treat you like it.

I emailed them shortly after moving to Charlotte asking them simple yes and no questions. After a week went by with no answer I sent a follow up email. Again no answer. I finally called the store and was put on hold for 20min with no response. I must be a glutton for punishment because I called back and they again put me on hold after I asked them the same questions I emailed them. I finally sent a final email saying that this was my 3rd email and I would not be sending anymore and they lost my business.

I am not sure how brick and mortar stores stay in business with crap customer service and I don't mind paying a bit more to a local establishment where you can discuss and tangibly hold your purchase. Usually the price is offset by excellent customer service well not here. They have lost my business forever. I have since bought the 5dMkII online with 2lenses and grip.

If you are in need of anything photo related Biggs Camera is the only place in Charlotte to go. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. Best of all they are willing to help you any way they they can. On one occasion I needed a battery charger because I had misplaced mine and I had a photo shoot the next day. Even though they were out of stock of ones they could sell one of the staff (his name escapes me but he's the tall dark curly haired one) gladly loaned me a store charger for the day. He was a real lifesaver and as far as I am concerned he and the folks at Biggs will get all of my business. Biggs Camera is BEST around bar none!!!

If you're looking for customer service, forget about finding it there. I've shopped at Biggs over the past few years and have the tendency to run into the same rude associate. I've complained about him and his attitude quite a few times. He is supposed to be there to help you, but he is not and unfortunately, the store management does not see him as a liability and chooses to keep him on staff, no matter how far he goes with expressing his attitude towards customers that may have questions or are seeking some good advise on equipment and basic photography stuff. So don't shop at Biggs Camera. I'm a firm believer that you pay for what you get...and if you're like me and are looking to get customer service with a smile instead of a slick tongue, give your money to another photo shop, because you're likely to receive the slick tongue there.

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE!!! I have shopped at Biggs Camera for many years and have never had a problem with customer service. From camera advice from the sales staff to the best restorations I have ever had done I think the entire staff at Biggs is top notch!!!

I'm glad you've had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, that has not been my story and has not been the story of several others I've spoken with. it only takes one. I've shopped there on several occassions (in the past) and it's the same guy that I've had to deal with. He's rude, make rude comments that are unnecessary and unfriendly, does not offer any customer service and basically acts as if he doesn't even want to work there. They are not all like that, but like I previously said, it only takes one to spoil the bunch. I hope you continue to have a wonderful experience working with them. I just know that being I haven't had that yet and I've HAD to work with him more than 3 times, I have no intentions of giving them any more of my $$$$. Real simple!

I have to agree whole heartedly. I am used to B&M stores for great customer service this place apparently feels that they have enough business that they can snub new customers. I am surprised this place can stay in business. I have recently joined a local camera club and it's funny to find out that I am not the only person who has had these experiences.
